Sufiah.. from genius to H****

>> Monday, March 31, 2008

Sayang sekali..

i think its easy for people to heap condemnation on sufiah now. she is such an easy target that even a blind man can hit her with a stick.

people always use religion as an easy way out. thinking that it is the be all and end all to all problems. but it is not as easy as that. the way i see it she must have been sexually abused by her dad.

observe the uncanny simmillarities between the dad and the husband. if she is really weak in religious practice why did she ran away to a group of muslim sisters?

this latest act of prostitution is just her way of getting even with her domineering father. the dad was just convicted of molesting 2 15 year olds. letting older men to have sex with her might be a way for her to say

" you molest kids dad? now see other men molest me? how does that feel"

all in all i hope she will find her true path later in life. she is only 23 and bound to make mistakes. i dont see why we in malaysia choose to condemn her. i guess its the malaysian thing to wield the "holier than thou" attitude when someone suffers a misfortune. she needs guidance not brickbats

for that i am ashamed to call myself a malaysian.

each of us has a choice in life. we may be born in a bad or an unfair situation, like sufiah, she couldn't choose her parents but she can't certainly choose her own destiny.
frankly, i feel sad for her but she has her right to do what she has made up her mind to do. needless to say, the media is making money out of her story.
i hope she will find her true self again. 8|
